My Story

I was born on Chicago's South Side, and South Shore has always held a special place in my heart. My parents purchased their first home here, and this neighborhood is where my roots began.

As a young mother, I faced financial hardships and, for a period of time, relied on public assistance while working to build a better future for my family. Rather than letting those circumstances define me, I chose to invest in myself. I put myself through vocational school, learned new skills, embraced every opportunity to grow, and built a career through determination, perseverance, and hard work.

Today, I have more than 20 years of experience in operations management and leadership, leading teams, solving problems, managing day-to-day operations, and serving families. I've also worked as an entrepreneur and as a real estate professional, experiences that have strengthened my appreciation for homeownership, small businesses, and thriving neighborhoods.

Although life took me beyond South Shore for a time, I chose to return because this community has always been home in my heart. As a proud South Shore homeowner, I believe our neighborhood has incredible potential.

I'm running because I've seen what strong leadership, investment, and community pride can accomplish. I believe South Shore deserves that same commitment. Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more vibrant future for our neighborhoods, our businesses, and the next generation.
